Capri and the Amalfi Coast
Amalfi Coast

DAY 1 - Capri

After we meet in Neaples a short private transfer take us to the embarcadero where you will get on the fast aliscafo (hydrofoil) to Capri. Repeatedly described as the most appealing island in the Mediterranean, Capri boasts a magnificent blend of natural beauty, a rich history ripe with captivating tales of scandal, and bustling tourism that attracts a colorful crowd. Once in Capri, we will get our first impression of the island with a short walk to the Garden of Augustus and a breathtaking view of the blue Mediterranean sea and towards the Faraglioni rocks and the Li Galli island. Check in at the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

DAY 2

Today you have the chance to explore the island of Capri. Today’s walk will lead you to Villa Jovis and back (2 hours walking). Lunch is on your own before returning to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3

Our walk today will be along the coast in the western part of the island along the path of forts. Lunch at the Da Gelsomina restaurant for a true insalata caprese or a light pasta, before we walk back to Anacapri and we take a ride on the chairlift to Monte Solaro for a 365° view of the Island and the gulf. We soak in the unending bird's-eye views of the sea, occasionally blessed with landmarks like the Punta Carena lighthouse and the imposing Faraglioni rocks. A visit of St Michele Church is a must before getting back to the hotel. Time for shopping now!

DAY 4 - Charming Positano

A quick taxi transfer to the port to embark on our private boat to Positano. The entire day is for us to soak in the sun on the boat deck and take a swim by the marine reserve of Punta Campanella. For lunch we stop in Nerano at a renowned restaurant with its own organic kitchen garden. Our boat trip will end at hotel San Pietro, your hotel for the next two days.

DAY 5

Today a transfer will take us up to the Lattari Mountains. Our walk start from Bomerano and it's one of the most renowned local walks, called “The Path of Gods”, maybe the most spectacular of the many stunning paths of the Amalfi Coast. The views from Bomerano are wonderful and once in Nocelle we sit in a great little family restaurant, Santa Croce, and feast on the delights of a home cooked lunch with yet more spectacular views of the coast all washed down with some delightful local wine. After lunch there is a transfer down to the hotel.

DAY 6 - Enchanting Ravello

Today you'll enjoy another great day on your private boat for a ride along the Amalfi Coast. We will stop in Amalfi, the most ancient of the Marine Republic Towns. Amalfi is a joy to explore - especially when accompanied by our knowledgeable local guide. Back on the boat for more sun and swim in the refreshing sea. Lunch in Cetara, another little jewel along the coast, famous for the production of the “colatura di alici”, a special sauce from anchovies a true delight on spaghetti! Back to Amalfi for a short taxi drive to Ravello. Situated 350 m (1,150 ft.) above sea level, Ravello (like Amalfi) was a thriving medieval town whose residential population once numbered 30,000. Today, approximately 2,000 people reside in this charming resort town, where the ceramic products of nearby Vietri are on prominent display.

DAY 7

Today’s hike is a loop around Ravello. It takes us to the Natural Reserve of Ferriere into the lush mountains above the town before heading back to our favorite town, on time for lunch. Spend the afternoon at your leisure before our last night festivities start.

DAY 8 - Pompeii and Arrivederci!

On the way to Naples airport we will stop in Pompeii to meet with our guide Fabrizio for a visit of the ancient Roman town. Fabrizio will drive you back with his stories about the Roman life of 2000 years ago, and you'll be like in a time machine. After the visit a refreshing lemonade before your quick transfer to the airport.
